Our Mission
The Aeronautical Center Amateur Radio Club, Inc. mission is to offer it's members a means of demonstrating and sharing their knowledge, skills, and experiences in amateur radio with others and provide emergency communications services to the community.
This is accomplished through support of local and national amateur radio events and drills, conducting licensing workshops, and training in emergency communications procedures. The club call sign is "W5PAA" and operate 3 repeaters - one at the frequency output of 442.7000 MHZ, one at 146.850 and 146.985 extending the range of club members and other radio amateurs in the greater Oklahoma City area.
Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. and being held at the OKC FIRE DEPT. TRAINING CENTER 800 N PORTLAND. Tentative meeting dates for 2008 are as follows: December 4 . Tentative dates for 2009 are as follows: January 8, February 5, March 5, April 2, May 7, June 4, July 9, August 6, September 3, October 8, November 5, and December 3. If you are unable to attend, you may check in for the meeting on the 146.85 machine.

AR ARC will have the regular Dec. meeting at the OCFD Training Center at 800 N Portland 7:00 PM Thursday Dec. 4.
Election of officers of the coming year and other items are on the agenda.
SINCE THE FIRST THURSDAY OF JANUARY 2009 IS JAN. 1, WE WILL HAVE A SPECIAL "NEW YEARS" DINNER MEETING ON THURSDAY JANUARY 8 AT 6:30 PM AT FIRE MOUNTAIN RESTAURANT 6500 SW 3.
Maybe we can call it our 'Inaugural" meeting (the first meeting of the new year) and first for new officers who are elected at the Dec. meeting.
Mark your calendars for Dec. 6 and Jan 8.

All classes will be
at the Police and Fire Training Academy, 800 N. Portland,
west side. The only cost for the course is the book ($25.00),
and the FCC required exam fee is $14.00.
We need to know SOON if you or anyone you know is interested! Please

information and order a book ($25.00, in advance) for you in time for
